Institutions, Governance & Organisational Change: what happens when a system has to move?
This is an invitation to look at Clyde Street’s institutional terrain without pretending it contains one theory of organisational change. Systems appear here as rules, targets, funding, roles, research infrastructure, culture, data, care, public purpose and contested authority. Sometimes Keith maps the system. Sometimes he slows his judgement. Sometimes he looks from the edge, borrows cautiously from another domain, follows a policy through later states, or asks what a seemingly efficient arrangement does to the people inside it.
The rows are institutional questions worth exploring, not a final taxonomy of organisations. The columns show different ways Keith examines those questions. A source may appear several times because the same post can offer more than one entrance.
The source links take you back to Clyde Street. Hover or focus a heading for its meaning. Hover a source link to see why it appears in that exact cell; click or tap it to hold the full source card open.
The full card will show what the post is about, why it belongs in the exact cell you chose, the ownership/evidential boundary, and routes back to Clyde Street or onward into a longer article.
